I get some pretty unique comments and emails regarding this blog site. Regardless, I never thought someone would consider this project as a link to finding a coaching job, but as John Prine would say, "It's a big old goofy world." So, if any school system out there is interested in the following, drop me a line and I'll hook you up with this small town football coaching prospect.
I have 25 years experience coaching high school football in three states: Ohio, Maryland, and Florida. Currently I reside in Florida. My journey—God-willing—is to become a head football coach in a small town (in any state). However, I do not posess a teaching degree. In the past I have always worked as a sub-contractor for a given school or on a volunteer basis. My family includes my wife and four children.
My search is for a program that is in need of rebuilding. I have been involved with some great football programs over the years—attributed to my hard-nosed, hard-working, Christian values. My approach is a concerted focus on details and accountibility from coaches to players and from players back to coaches. I am 43-years-old and have been involved with football more than half my life. This may come off as a strange e-mail, just understand I am trying to live out a dream and if you have any knowledge of a program that would consider or talk to me, please have them call me.
GOD BLESS THIS E-MAIL THAT IT MAY FALL INTO THE RIGHT HANDS.

Send him to Broadus, MT. Maybe it'll help....a small town with a promising outlook in football in a couple more years, if we can get someone who has better values and sets a better example for his athletes. The coach is a great buy, he just isn't someone who should be in such an 'admired' postion for our young men to follow.
I meant great guy, not buy...obviously. Wish I was perfect, but alas I am not. Darn.
Hey, email me at ECaldy@yahoo.com and send me your phone number. I know a small/medium sized town in Michigan that NEEDS a football coach and needs the program to be rebuilt from the ground up. Being a graduate from this school and a 4 year player I have seen the ups and downs of the current program...unfortunately the ups were 10 wins in the last 4 seasons...3-6, 3-6, 2-7, 2-7. Downs...well you can see those.
Im the same poster as last.
The teaching degree would not be a big deal due to the fact the highschool coach is offered a security job with the school.
For whatever it may be worth, I've also copied and pasted this posting in an email to the gentleman in search of the job. Thanks.
I know of a school that is looking for a new head coach, as theirs will be retiring this spring.
The town isn't that small, but the turnout for the football teams at all three schools there is. There are plenty of good athletes there, but most of them choose hockey or basketball instead because this football program has seen very little success ever since it was formed in 2001.
Despite the low numbers, there is still some good talent returning as well as moving up from the JV team, and they could all benefit from a dedicated, hard working coach with vast knowledge of the game. Many of these kids have good physical abilities, but have yet to have the right mindset instilled in them.
So far, there has been no luck in finding a new coach, even with great attempts and a search of nearly the entire area. Whether it's because nobody wants to take on this project, or just that there isn't enough available coaching around, as of right now this program is without a head coach. If this issue is not sorted out within the next few months, there may be no option other than to fold the program. This would be devastating to all the players and coaches who have worked to build this program up, and especially so to several of these boys who are attempting to take their game to the collegiate level.
Your values and attitude seem to be just what could turn this team into a real contender in a few years. If this description interests you at all, you can contact me at chalmersgt7@hotmail.com
THANKS EVERYONE IN ADVANCE. SOMEDAY YOU WILL LOOK BACK AND REMEMBER THAT YOU PLAYED A BIG PART IN THIS FUTURE SUCCESS STORY.GOD-BLESS YOU ALL
I dont know if this is still open, but theres a small school in Ohio called Millersport. The football team was good... in the sixties. Since then they've struggled to get 3 wins a season. They are D6 and are possibly one of the the smallest if not smallest public school in Ohio. They really really need a program and are currently accepting applications. contact me at helpwithfootball@yahoo.com

Im currently going to school at PRCDHS in Broadus Montana.Im a junior. We have so much skill on our football team. Our coach is a great guy, but not such a great football coach. We are currently 0-2 in our season and could use something new. I want to see the next few years look better than my last few have been. On top of that, Broadus is a great town and a great place to raise a family. Please think about what im asking, it would be a great thing if a new coach came along.
